I have both my wrists wrapped up today.  They've been giving me hell for about a week or two now, on and off.  I'm trying to be gentle with them for a few days to see how they feel. So that means no sewing since I think that's what might have caused this in the first place. (Who knew that sewing 20+ hours 4 for 5 weekends in a row could be an issue!? ;P)

Not sure if I will be drawing, though I haven't drawn in so long anyway. ( I miss it ; A ; ) That picture of Bobbin is ALMOST done so I really want to at least finish that and post it.  But I know I need to rest them because I still have one plushie commission to finish and then I have to make everything for Otakon which is less than a month away. :XD: It's almost all sewing, too.

Inconvenient injury is inconvenient.

I'm stubborn so it's taking a lot of self control to not keep working.  I know that if I rest now I should be better off later and if I keep working I will only likely make it worse.  That doesn't make me any less annoyed though haha.

If they still hurt in a few days then I will go to the doctor. Meanwhile, what will I do with all this time?! D:

*hugs* I've totally been there. Blasted tendonitis. CVS makes really nice soft writs braces that give good support while still giving you mobility. At this point, I usually put mine only whenever I do activities that could potentially cause wrist stress as protection, and it helps.

My first time cosplaying at a con, I didn't receive my fabric until about a week before, so I spent every waking moment sewing up until the con. I ended up pulling a ligament in a facet joint.

Ouch, I totally feel your pain >< I have had issues with my wrists because I am a massage therapist...and I draw and sew and do stuff with my hands when I'm not working XD I have used 2 wrist supports, but the type that I use are flexible elastic ones. So I can still use them sparingly without overstraining them. I also have a ganglion cyst on the inside of my right wrist...that thing HURT badly when it first popped up. >_<

One of the things you can do to help is take a bucket of cold water and submerge your hands (one at a time to start), then slowly add ice cubes until it gets just to the point of cold that you can withstand. It will help bring the inflammation down very well. If you can afford it too, massage can help as well. Specifically on your forearms...oh, and stretching XD

Since I use my hands for work, I'm very careful about how I take care of them...so I do a LOT of stretching on a daily basis of my forearms. Hope they get better soon!
