Sailor Moon: New Anime in 2013 (now w/video)This is not a rumor!
It was officially announced that there will be a BRAND NEW Sailormoon Anime in Summer 2013!  The original Japanese VAs for Moon and Tuxy seem to be reprising their roles (based on the conversation in the event). We don't have much more detail, a letter from Naoko said she hopes we like the new series and she's happy to be making it. She said she's overwhelmed at the support the series still has and it makes her happy. She didn't think she could do something new but now she's happy she can bring them back!
They said the audience is intended to be the original fans of the show. It will be like a "powered up" of the original story, aimed at the good girls (and boys!) who grew up with the show. TOEI is doing it.
There was something in the announcement about it being released worldwide but we don't know the details. We do not know what this means as far as a possible English dub/sub. We don't yet know when/how this will reach a US market.

New Sailor Moon Artbook in 2013In case you've missed the social media explosion in the last half hour, Kodansha just announced they are doing a world wide release of a new Sailormoon artbook next year. Here's the official post.
"The Sailor Moon Art Book will be released in The
United States, Japan, and five other countries simultaneously. Each
country’s edition will be a trade paperback with dust jacket, in full
color, and will have original, special bonus material. The trim size and
page count will be identical for all seven releases."They said that it will include both old art from the original artbooks as well as new, unreleased stuff.

Hello! After some deliberation I've decided it is time to hold my first contest. It's going to be based on my story and original characters. The theme is spring. You are free to interpret this time in any way you choose.
My story is set in a contemporary Dublin, but in an alternative timeline where magic is possible. Visually, this means the world has been influenced by different historical periods as the supernatural world seems somewhat more archaic than its technological counterpart. You'll also see this in the character's wardrobes that fluctuate from very modern to Victorian-esque.

CEA Blog: Mature ContentHey guys, today I want to talk about Mature Content on deviantART and hopefully clear up some misconceptions that exist around it. For those of you eager to look at some boobs and hot male torsos, I'm afraid I won't be including any here :petting:.
How the mature content filter works
All members over the age of 18 can choose to enable or disable the mature content filter to suit their needs. All members with a registered date of birth under the age of 18 have the mature content filter locked on and can not disable it. All logged out visitors have the mature content filter enabled and can not disable it.
The mature content filter is split in to two types, strict and warning. The strict filter is completely voluntary and prevents any deviant with the mature content filter on from accessing the work. The general or warning filter is the standard mature content tag and will remove the image from immediate view when browsing and place an warning page on the devi

The only one that should have been restored but wasn't, was not restored because it had been deleted for too long. So, for some of you, it may not be possible to restore your wrongfully-deleted caps. Yes, there is a time limit on your removed deviations for restoration, and it's apparently a short one. May 31st was when I first began my ticket, when said cap was first removed, and it was properly answered well after the time limit had expired (almost two months after I began the ticket). Isn't that alarming? We all know how long it takes the Help Desk to answer tickets, especially when it comes to policy inqui

Retouched? :cry: What was wrong with the original? Because if it's anything like the new HD digitally remastered Blu-Ray edition of Beauty and the Beast (with new features!!!)... I really think I'd prefer the original. :paranoid:

Naoko (the original author) went back and added some more details, cleaned up the art, and just generally spruced it up (especially in the areas where she had to rush on the original run). It looks quite amazing! All new covers that Naoko made, too! I am sure there's a site somewhere that has comparisons, but I couldn't find one on a quick search
