Waaaa I AM HOME.
I had such an incredible weekend I don't even know where to start.
The winning ticket for the custom plushie head is TICKET #420128! If you have the winning ticket, take a picture of it or scan it and email it to me at Sakura@sailorastera.com! I will sew you a plushie of what ever character you want. YAY!
Now that that's out of the way xD I stayed with , and her friend K. We had a room at the Red Roof just outside downtown and I rented this cute little Corolla. I'm still not sure how we fit 4 people and 6 suitcases into that beast but I guess K and Ochi are Tetris masters. ANYWAY. I basically sat at my table all weekend so I didn't really do much at the con, but it looked like there was a lot going on and everyone was having a great time! I missed all the Sailormoon photoshoots but I did get to go to the Sailormoon Universe panel and that was a really good time. Lots of people came by the table after to say they had fun so that makes me happy.
I had an excellent time chilling at the table with Mo, meeting new people and seeing old friends. I sold out of dango for the most part (just the two creepy dog things left and one giant one). I sold out of keychains (I really though I'd brought enough but I totally could've had more! ) and I sold many prints and quite a few originals (T__T wibble, I really need to draw more!). I sold one of the Sailormoon hairclips and a few of my smaller framed things, too. I haven't even come close to unpacking yet so there's still inventory to do. @_@
The original framed Sailor Saturn sold at auction for $75 so that was really awesome since that's what I was asking for it originally! I really hope I get to find out who won it. Mo was trying to win it but she was outbid so she ended up buying something else from me instead. Mo also bid on and won a Build-A-Bear with Eric Vale's voice on it and a signature on its belly for *SummonerIX from the charity auction. Here's a video. One of my Sailormoon posters sold for $15 in the charity auction too! I wonder who won that one...
I got to see lots and lots of people again that I haven't seen last year. Mike Moon from Catgirl Island was there, though he didn't have a table this year (sad face). But he was awesome and got me some chicken on Saturday (real food was pretty hard to come by, most of the weekend I ate bananas, cheezits and Coke). ~DavisJes and =wildkitty317 came by a few times! They had some great Sailormoon cosplays this year as Mercury and Jupiter, then Princess Uranus and Princess Jupiter. There were a lot of Sailormoon cosplayers all over the place! Cookie was there with Myu SHMP and Myu Eternal Sailormoon. I think she had another one at least but I'm forgetting what it was. Prototype Venus I think? I also met ~IronPuppy who gave me the cutest little clay figure of her OC and hung out to chat while we killed time between busy periods. I'm going to glue a magnet to it and put it on my fridge! xD Ah, it was really really really fun!
I can't find the book where everyone wrote down their DA names so I am guessing that I probably packed it in the box that I shipped home to myself. When it gets here on Thrursday I will start going through all the names and visiting everyone.
For Sailormoon loot I picked up: Petite Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune (from another fan selling), Excellent Sailor Mars and Excellent Sailor Mercury (Ochi picked up Moon), an SMR Bandai poster with the sticker on it (insert nerd flap), and two starter decks of English SM trading cards (big thanks to Kate & Adam for those, I really appreciate it! I can't wait to look through them when I'm unpacked!). Not as much of a haul of awesome as last year, but certainly still cool. And now I'm stalking eBay like woah. I also picked up a Sailor V figure for *kuroitenshi13 and bought some fanart from her and =lilly-peacecraft in the Dealer's Room. I also bought a really adorable CUBE-EY and these cute kittie magnets to match my kitties from another artist up in the Balcony alley. Her stuff was so awesome. I think we are plushing soulmates.
I will probably upload a few pics to DA: the chibis I drew on commission (so many this year, wow! Thank you everyone! you make me feel so happy about them ) and probably a table pic, cosplay pic, or something like that! Over all it was such a totally awesome weekend that I just can't believe it's over and even though I'm so happy to be home with husband and kitties I am still really looking forward to next year. xD
59 days until Otakon.
