Sailor Moon: New Anime in 2013 (now w/video)This is not a rumor!
It was officially announced that there will be a BRAND NEW Sailormoon Anime in Summer 2013! The original Japanese VAs for Moon and Tuxy seem to be reprising their roles (based on the conversation in the event). We don't have much more detail, a letter from Naoko said she hopes we like the new series and she's happy to be making it. She said she's overwhelmed at the support the series still has and it makes her happy. She didn't think she could do something new but now she's happy she can bring them back!
They said the audience is intended to be the original fans of the show. It will be like a "powered up" of the original story, aimed at the good girls (and boys!) who grew up with the show. TOEI is doing it.
There was something in the announcement about it being released worldwide but we don't know the details. We do not know what this means as far as a possible English dub/sub. We don't yet know when/how this will reach a US market.

Kodansha USA announces the release of the revised Sailormoon manga to be published on a bi-monthly schedule. It will also include the first English release of Sailor V.

That's just awesome. I didn't like what they do the show either. Hence watched subbed and looked for fan scanlations on the net. I have to tell my sisters about this!

I just hope that Funimation will get the license of the anime... Some rumours said they have because a compagny named TOPPS is going to release the toys back in North America. And Bandai got the license for releasing multimedia stuff of Sailor Moon... Does anyone have other news about the anime?

I haven't heard anything solid yet other than Funi saying the license is "no longer available" when they had their panel at Anime Boston. They said the same thing about Eva 2.2 before it was announced.

Kazakhstan recently announced they are getting their Sailormoon back, so hopefully one of the big cons this year will yield an exciting announcement for the US

Yea I know for Kazakhstan lol. They are soooooooooooooooooooooo lucky XD but I think you are right about Funi. And besides, I listened a ANN podcast with a representative of Funi and the guy asking her questions said someone wrote something for sailor moon. Suddenly, she was like umm, well, we.... u know.. Like she was totally hiding something^^so I'm sure they have it and they wait for a big event to come to announce it lol
