Sailor Earthangel Plushie by sakkysa Sailor Earthangel Plushie by sakkysa
TADA!

A whole plushie in a weekend?! Someone's motivated!! This is Sailor Earthangel who belongs to our beloved ~GloryAngel. As many of my watchers know, we've been raising money to help Glory and her family as she tries to recover from a serious car accident last fall. More info in my journal here: [link]

Well, it turns out that my new job is sending me to CA for some HR training and ever so conveniently, in the great largeness that is CA, the office is about and hour away from where Glory has recently moved home!!!!

I am trying to arrange with her family for a visit, and this little one will be coming along with me to brighten her day. I JUST CAN'T WAIT! I really hope it works out. I never thought I'd possibly get to see her, but alas, something like fate is in the works. :3

This little hand sewn plush is about 7" tall and made entirely of felt. Her eyes and mouth are hand painted. I referenced Glory's wallpaper of this character: [link] Much thanks to =Jateshi for help with the dress pattern! :blowkiss:

She looks adorable. :D The dress also looks very well done; I would guess that one-piece outfits might be a little trickier to do than the usual senshi fuku?

It's great that you have the opportunity to go to CA and give it to her in person. :D Then you can see the look on her face when she gets it (and, for that matter, I think she would like it! Who doesn't like plushies, especially of their senshi?)

I have a really small paintbrush, Loew-Cornell 7650 Spotter. I replace it every few months as it frays. I use acrylic paint and draw the black lines on carefully and lightly. Then I usually draw in the eyeballs (in this case, with a brown marker!) and then I use the same brush to paint the whites of the eyes. The highlight on the eye ball I did with a paint pen from DecoColor! :D I hope that helps!

I use the fabric marker
that fades as it dries
to draw the upper and lower parts of the black part of the eye
then i paint the black lines with fabric paint
let it dry then do the white paint
and or the eye color
for the neru keyring I used a tooth pick
to put on the black for the outer part of the eye

what i can get my hands on around here
is limited so i make use of what I can find
