Mavis Vermilion Plush - Fairy Tail by sakkysa Mavis Vermilion Plush - Fairy Tail by sakkysa
For :iconhao-007:

This was my first time working with minky. I understand why people love it; it's soft. It's soooooo very soft. ; ^ ; But it also sheds like crazy and makes a HUGE mess so I can't say I'm super fond of sewing with it. ;D

I actually had a lot of trouble with this plush, even though the design is pretty simple. There was something wrong with the iron on transfer paper and it gave me trouble the entire time. I should've quit with it and got another sheet but I was stubborn and tried to make it work. So the face came out a little wonky. I accidentally smudged the ink on the eye so I tried to correct it by adding shading to them. I'm not entirely sure it was effective.

Even though I had quite a bit of trouble with her and even though the minky made a HUGE MESS, I'm glad I was able to make her and learn some things. ^___^ Next plush will be Kyoko from Madoka Magica!

Hello, I wanted to know what you used to get the fabric to stick without sewing it on? Do you just use fabric glue?

Really wonderfully done! I love the colours you used  and how you made it and I'm curious about something:
How do you keep the hair strands on the front from fraying? Or does the material (you said you used minky, I don't know what it is like since I don't really know it) just not fray when you cut it?
