I was really excited about doing this! I don't do many animal kind of things so I thought this would be a great challenge. The body pattern is based on a Banpresto Luna plush. Though it didn't exactly work out the same, I still like it a lot! I did make it quite a bit bigger. I was also really happy that I was able to figure out a way to turn those little yellow tubes for his ear-rings!
He's about 9" tall and about 11" long. He's made of polar fleece with felt details.
Eventually I will post a more generic version of this pattern (the sitting animal bit) but it might be a while before I have the time to scan and clean it up.
This is one of the best handmade Kyubeys I ever seen. Plushies are one of the hardest things to make, especially ones without a pattern. Many plushies that I have saw were a bit 'out of proportion' or didn't really look like Kyubey. Making this plushie would of taken time and care to make. You made it looks cute and adorable like the Kyubey in the anime and had every feature that the Kyubey had. It has great originality and a wonderful impact because the pose shows all the features of it. I really like this design and hope I could make something like this. Keep it up!
Eeep! I've been wanting a Kyubey plushie since I saw the anime. Delightfully creepy lil guy. <3 If I had the money, I'd go with yours. Expression and pose are perfect, and the shape of the tail just makes me happy for some reason. ^^
