Astera - Dual Perspective by sakkysa Astera - Dual Perspective by sakkysa
I've been wanting to make one of these types of images for Astera for a while. On the plane from the south, where I went to visit my friend Kat, I decided to start it. I am pretty happy with it over all. I like the lineart mostly, particularly the tiara and brooch. I used Prismacolors for the character and Photoshop for the BG and effects. Oh, and the GIMP too.

Yey Astera. ^^;

People on the plane were stopping in the isle to ask questions and the guy next to me actually asked me about Sailor Moon. Bad idea huh? I tried to restrain myself. :3 The best part was this little kid about maybe 5 that walked by and stopped dead in her tracks: "WOW that's BEAUTIFUL!" Totally made my day. ^_^

Everyone says the same thing when they see me coloring something. "Did you draw that?" No, I just sneezed and it showed up on the page. Honestly! ;P

More recent Astera art:

Her fanfic:
Return of Astera: Chapter IReturn of Astera  A Sailor Moon Fanfiction   Chapter I: Introductions and Revelations   The long tendrils of clouds turned a hazy pink as the sun kissed the horizon. At the same time, a small tired hand ran across a furrowed brow. Ami Mizuno had just finished preparing herself for the marine biology mid-term exam. Now, she was contemplating going for a walk in the gardens to let her overworked mind settle before she ate supper. It was still early - only five o'clock - but she had gotten accustomed to eating earlier because rigorous study sessions she had been keeping recently. Feeling as though she reserved this break

this is really interesting, because i was on a plane ride to kansas and there was a man sitting nearby me who was looking over my shoulder while i inked a picture of my elf Oc he offered to pay me for the copy i had. it was the only copy of her that i had and i wasn't ready to part with it just yet so i had to turn him down. he asked me how much and i said for an ink like that $2.50 (not comfortable enough with my art at the time to ask for more and actually sell it.) this picture actually: [link]

but i was so red as i got off the plane... .///.

Aww well I usually try to take the opportunity for a sale but it's different if the piece is important to you. Someone offered to buy Bobbin at my last convention but I couldn't bear to part with her T___T
