Just sharing some awesome things I've learned recently from *loriofpandora with the assistance of ~PjBottoms's Sailor Copper Monkey as a model.

I totally have a problem with this, and flipping does help, but I am usually too lazy to scan in or take photos of my sketches to check them for irregularities. :XD:

lol me too. have you tried carrying around a small mirror? when I need to do it, I take it upstairs to the big mirror in the bathroom, but if I'm traveling it's inconvienent.

I just had to come back and fave this! I've known about this phenomenon, but to be honest, I thought it was only me being a poor artist! ^^; It's actually nice to know that it's a "natural" thing, and after reading this I have actually started paying more attention to it (before I knew about it, and occasionally did flip my pictures, but it always brought me down so I tried to avoid it). Now instead I try to pay extra attention to it, both when I draw with my hand and ink on the computer! Hopefully I'll help me avoid, or at least lessen the effect, in the future! :D

Why on earth don't they teach this stuff in school?!?

Hmm... that's a really interesting idea! The only question is how to flip something traditional. Also, my brain will occasionally just do a mental flip back and tell me things are fine. Aurg, neurology.

These are traditional. I scan them and flip them. but I'm looking for a phone app that can let me do it faster :D

Ahh... okay. I guess I could flip over the paper and hold it up to the light. I'm also wondering if this could correct for eye bias (I've got an interned eye) or if I'd need to get someone else.

If you have a Mac, Photo Booth flips automatically.

That part about eye bias was random musing, you don't have to answer it.
